Oil contamination, fan drives , turbo, exhaust manifold leak, cracked EGR cooler, broken off studs... Is there anything that is working in this piece of Deere? How mucho $$$ for turbo replacement? Great videos. It's good that you chose to be a mechanic for John Deere, because they break down all the time, so you don't have to worry about losing your job. They were once synonymous with quality and reliability, but those times are long gone.

Sorry to hear John Deer is moving out of the states. Sad all those jobs will be lost. Always big needs for the service technician though. Lots of those jobs i expect.

I bet the customer will check under the hood after the tractor has been setting for a while, even if he isn't a bird watcher.

That was one expensive bird nest. Talk about unlucky! Lucky that you had some breeze. That makes a big difference. Thanks to artificial intelligence that they are now working on, in a few years you will probably be able to put on some goggles which will project what you are supposed to do next, or at least give you an image of the machine in various stage of completion. You might be able to talk to it for what image you need to see, going backwards or forward. All the parts for a job will be included in a package when you depart the shop. Drones might bring you additional parts you discover that you need. Flying is much faster than driving. And if the battery on the drone was discharged too much to make it back home, you could just bring it back at the end of the job. That kind of stuff might be why they say AI will change the world a lot. One good thing, doing that kind of work, no robot will ever replace you.

Hi Master, What type of 6-pin connector you see at 2:35, do you have any information about it? Case IH 51xx series also uses it, I can't get it anywhere... All the connectors on the tractor are Delphi type, but I can't find this one... Best regards Adam, from Hungary

Taking pictures helped me big time once I had to change an entire chassis harness with immense customer pressure to get the tractor back in the field. Another great video. Absolutely inspirational to young upcoming techs around the world. Love and peace

Getting those wiring harnesses replaced took a while. You had to remove a lot of pieces to get at the old stuff that was burned. You and Joseph did a great job on this beast doing the plug and play trick. Nice work. Don’t think a lot of people realize how much you have to remove to make the repair. Super job you two. Pulling the draw bar out gives more room for hydraulic hoses dont need it any way

Make sure it has a Transmission fluid cooler big enough to tow a tractor or combine. Factory coolers are often a little small. 1:41

Ah come on Engineers are designer that failed to aptitude tests for mechanics. Beside the Holset Turbo on this application, does Deere service Actuator separately? Have or Sloans just changed it?

Make or buy a Misting sprayer from a garden insect sprayer or a water tank and 12v pump. For dry heat dayd. 90 percent humidity days you need refrigerant AC. 10:01

Yep, two years ago, for lack of proper fall cleaning... My fathers combine cab became a mouse house,,, $12,000 later...
